No support for spray-painting Nordic’s Belfast office

President Sid Block condemned the spray-painting of graffiti on the door and window of Nordic Aquafarms’ Main Street office in Belfast last Sunday.  No one claimed responsibility and no witnesses have come forward to identify who might have done it.

In a brief Letter to the Editor sent to The Republican Journal, The Free Press, the Bangor Daily News, and the Pen Bay Pilot, Block did not mince words.

Dear Editor:

Sometime this past Sunday night someone and spray-painted "Pollutes" on the front door of the Nordic Aquafarms Belfast office.  This was an act of vandalism.  It added nothing constructive to the ongoing controversy over Nordic's fish factory proposal.  I know I speak for all the members of the Friends of the Harriet L. Hartley Conservation Area when I say we condemn such acts: they do more harm than good.

Sincerely,
Sid Block, President

Friends of Harriet L. Hartley Conservation Area
