By becoming a member of the Friends of the Harriet L. Hartley you are joining a community of passionate people invested in protecting, restoring and conserving Belfast Bay and the entire Penobscot Bay watershed.

We host monthly member meetings featuring guest speakers and experts on topics ranging from the conservation and protection of coastal waters to appropriate and truly sustainable aquaculture farming projects both locally and globally. We send out frequent updates on our legal cases and invite our members to briefings from our legal team. We host in-person gatherings and offer opportunities for the public to visit and learn more about the unique and beautiful intertidal ecosystem we steward.
